Going To Graceland

Going to Graceland is Charly's first full length play and written under the support of the Bush Theatre's West London Playwrights Group. It is currently in it's first draft.

The play follows a three-generation family who are trying to get their grandma Sammy to Graceland as her last wish. Sammy is battling Alzheimers and in this household Elvis is still alive and kicking; the king's death is NOT to be mentioned. This is not a sad play, although it has sad moments. It follows the ups and downs of family life and the length we will go to help a loved one.

'Good'

Charly wrote 'Good' as a way of focusing on the complexities of grief and what it truly means to remember someone. Although this piece is still in development, Charly chose to perform a scene from this short as part of her final showcase at East 15. You can view this segment of the short by choosing to 'find out more'. Charly hopes to complete this project in 2022.

A Room
Of Her Own

AROHO website photo.jpg

A Room of Her Own is a short film created along side Charly's fellow co-star and producer Lara Marks. Birthed mid pandemic it seemed fitting to the two women to create a piece focusing on re-connecting with our loved ones and finding time for those closest to us. With themes of sisterhood, sexual identity, mental heath and what it means to be a women, this short is a prime example of a true passion project.

The
Prism

Created in a collaboration with Les Enfants Terribles, The Prism is an interactive online theatrical experience produced during the first Covid-19 Lockdown in 2020. Charly Faye devised this piece along side her twin sister, Robyn Faye, and their colleague and housemate, Emma Brunet. With themes of isolation (how fitting!) and the fear of the unknown, this quirky and disorientating performance piece mixes traditional clowning with the modern medium of recorded theatre.

WHICH ONE OF YOU IS THE GAY TWIN?

This spoken word poem was written by Charly's sister, Robyn Faye, and explores issues and themes close to both of the girls hearts. Proud members of the LGBTQ+ community, the two performed the piece as part of Spotlight Pride 2020.

OUT WITH ART.

Out with Art was in interactive piece of immersive theatre created by Charly Faye and her fellow collaborators at Locked In Productions. An escape room with a twist, the group originally developed the concept whist Charly was studying her BA as a part of a festival held at the university. Proven to be a popular attraction, the group chose to develop the piece further along side a second immersive performance titled The Scientist. The group toured the two pieces around several university campuses.
