Watch Shorts
Scrub Me, Daddy, a short film written and directed by Robyn Faye and produced by Charly Faye, has made the pre screening selection for Watch Shorts Film Festival. It showed at ArtHouse in Crouch End alongside 4 other fantastic short films. The film stars Charly Faye and Emma Brunet-Campain in leading roles.

London Spark Challange
Charly works as 1st Assistant Director for Scene 5 of the 2024 London Spark Challenge, developed by Gunpowder House. This creative challenge enlists 10 filmmakers to work together on one short film: each individually working on a single scene which will eventually be edited together.

Folkestone Film Festival
Scrub Me, Daddy, a short film written and directed by Robyn Faye and produced by Charly Faye, has made the official selection at Folkestone Film Festival. It received a presentation at the Gala Event and won the award for best Micro Short. This is the film's first award following its original Straight 8 top 25 selection.

Clown School
Charly's joins an eccentric group of artists from all over the world at Ecole Philippe Gaulier's clown school in Paris for a two week intensive master course in the art of 'Bouffon'. Founded in 1980, this school offers a unique style of education, and is a leading establishment in the art of clowning.
24 Hour Shakespeare

Charly joins Compass Collective in a charity event for Refugee week. Performing alongside actors such as Toby Jones, the aim is to tackle as many Shakespeare plays over a 24 hour period. if you would like to donate to a good cause the GoFundMe page for the event can be found HERE.

Local Wolves: Girlhood
Charly's latest article A Reflection has been published in the 67th issue of Local Wolves Magazine; a California based publication driven by a passion for storytelling. The article reflects on the topic of girlhood from the unique perspective of growing up as an identical twin.
BFI IMAX Premiere

Scrub Me, Daddy makes its official premiere on the biggest screen in the UK; The BFI IMAX. Starring Charly Faye in the lead role, this short film was created on one roll of 8mm film for the 2024 Straight 8 competition. It made it's worldwide online premiere a week later, showing alongside 25 other fantastic films.

Scrub Me, Daddy
Scrub Me, Daddy, a short film written and directed by Robyn Faye and starring Charly Faye has made the top 25 selection of the Straight 8 competition for 2024. The film will premiere on the biggest screen in the UK, BFI IMAX, on the 25th May alongside 24 other amazing films.

Charly debuted her first published article: Say Hello to 2024 with 24 LGBTQ+ Icons You May Never Have Heard Of. Ranging from 1920's Blues Singer Gladys Bentley to modern day casting director Andy Pryor this extensive and well research list explores creatives from multiple backgrounds and sexual orientations.
Straight 8

Charly takes on the roles of co-producer and lead actor for Scrub Me, Daddy: A new straight 8 film written and directed by Robyn Faye. Preproduction has officially began, with filming due to start in December. If successful then the short film will premiere in May 2024.
Just Like Us: Training

Charly completed a weekend training course with Just Like Us; A charity who's priority is LGBTQIA+ safety and education. Soon she will begin going into schools to speak to local students and provide support to younger members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Writers Action Party

Charly has been invited to participate in Writers Action Party: A new London based writers group for female/non-binary creators organised by MrMr Film. This provides a space for creators like Charly to focus on their screenplays, while also providing/seeking feedback from other members of the group.

Directed by Ian Giles for a contemporary art exhibition in The Heong Gallery, Cambridge. Set on the final day of a summer drama camp; we join a young LGBTQI+ group as they embody and share these texts to explore how history, power and class have shaped same sex relationships across the centuries. Raising The Wreck!

Charly takes on the role of the iconic pirate Grace O'Mally in a rehearsed reading of Sue Frumin's play Raising The Wreck. Originally written in the 80's but never produced, this show is part of an initiative to highlight lost queer theatre from the 70's-90's. Performed in the National Maritime Museum.

Ceska Bank: Commercial
Directed by Jan Svejkar, the latest commercial for Ceska Bank is live and features Robyn and Charly Faye. Showing a narrative driven story of self belief, it's tag line "you are stronger than you think" encourages viewers to overcome the voices in your head telling you that you're not good enough. Czech Bank Campaign

Charly flys to Prague to spend a week working on a new advertising campaign for Czech Savings Bank, resulting in multiple TV and Social Media Commercials as well as Still Shoots. Charly plays Sara, while her twin sister, Robyn faye, plays her evil Alter Ego. Directed by Jan Svejkar.

Tybalt takes to the stage!
Cocktails, dancing and disco balls! Showing at the Etcetera Theatre Monday 12th of June and Monday19th of June, the R&D performance of Rosalie and Juliet has it's opening night alongside Midsummer Night's Dream. A queer adaption of Shakespear's Romeo and Juliet, the production is directed by Lorna McCoid and produced by Laura Plumley.

Charly starts rehearsals for Shakesqueer: an evening of queer modern interpretations of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and ‘Rosalie and Juliet’. will be playing Tilda, aka Tybalt.Presented by Little Attic Productions, the production will be showing at the Etcetera Theatre on the 12th and 19th of June.

Charly begins filming on the art film 'Edward/Maurice', directed by Ian Giles for a contemporary art exhibition. Charly multi-roles as Isabella, the french Queen, and a puppeteer: working with hand-made puppets.

BFI and Cannes Premiere!
CopyCat, a short film in collaboration with Channel 4 as part of the Straight 8 competition has been chosen as one of the top 8 films. It will be premiering first at Cannes on the 22nd of May and then at BFI on the 27th of may (6pm). The Premiere will be the first time any of the filmmakers would have seen their creation!

Charly has wrapped on a new short film in collaboration with Channel 4 as part of the Straight 8 competition. With a haunting storyline and one one take to capture each shot, this was a new challenge with a fun result.

Tiny Babies Opens
When Sophie's partner comes to dinner, Rona needs to make a call: allow her sister the life she’s always wanted, or unearth a family secret, long-hidden before the two were even whispers of people. Tiny Babies opens at The Blue Elephant Theatre, featuring Charly Faye as Rona.

Tiny Babies Rehearsals
Charly begins rehearsals for a new play alongside her sister, Robyn. Tiny Babies is a raw and unflinching dark comedy, exploring inherited trauma in bodies that weren’t there, but still feel it. This piece of new writing will be performed at The Blue Elephant Theatre on the 24th and 25th February: Tickets available HERE.

West London Playwrights Group
Charly joins the Bush Theatre's West London Playwrights Group 2023 cohort along side some incredible writers. Through the guidance of Emma Dennis-Edwards (Consent Channel 4, Funeral Flowers Edinburgh Fringe 2018 and Champion BBC) and the Bush's fabulous literacy team Charly will be writing her first full length play titled Going To Graceland.

Charly begins filming for a new TV commercial for the insurance company LV. Working alongside her sister, Robyn Faye, the pair play pesky teenagers sitting down for a family breakfast.

Strangers Is Released

The band Bring Me The Horizon have released their new music video for Strangers featuring Charly and Robyn Faye playing a visual representation of self destruction. The video hit a million views within a day of its release.

Hi-Fidelity is the new single from upcoming queer artist LAVA LA RUE. Charly, alongside her sister Robyn, performed in the official music video as the bartenders of an underground club called The Globe.
R&D: Something Cotton

Written and soon to be directed by Hollye Swinehart, Charly took part in a Reading and Development session for the short film Something Cotton which is due to film in August. Charly workshopped the role of Anne, a southern American woman whose antagonistic nature is causing friction with her daughter.
